Delete your
/ account.
You can delete your Fiz account and everything in it at any time, from inside the app. This page explains how, exactly what gets removed, and what we are required to keep.

01/ Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately. In the Fiz app:
- Open your Profile, then tap the gear icon in the top bar to open Settings.
- Scroll to Account Actions.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when prompted.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore an account once it has been deleted.
02/ Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in, for example because you have lost access to the Apple or Google account you signed up with, email support@joinfiz.com with the subject Account deletion request, and tell us the email address or username on the account.
We verify that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before we delete anything. We will never action a deletion request for someone else's account. We respond within 45 days, and in practice far sooner.
03/ What gets deleted
Deletion is cascading. It removes your account itself along with everything attached to it:
- Your profile, username, bio, links, and profile photo.
- Your date of birth and any other private account details.
- Every activity and score you have logged, and any workouts and programs you created.
- Your comments, likes, saves, follows, blocked-user list, and collections.
- Community and group memberships, challenge and throwdown participation.
- All health and fitness data imported from Apple Health or Health Connect.
- Uploaded images and other files in our storage.
- Push notification tokens and your sign-in credentials.
Live systems are cleared immediately. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.
04/ What we keep, and why
Two narrow exceptions survive deletion, neither of which identifies you:
- Anonymised, aggregated statistics / counts and averages that can no longer be linked back to you or to any individual.
- Records we are legally required to keep / principally transaction and tax records, which UK law requires us to retain, and any records needed to resolve an active dispute or to meet a safety or law-enforcement obligation.
See Privacy Policy §12 for the full retention position.
05/ Two things to do first
Cancel your subscription separately. Deleting your Fiz account does not cancel a subscription. It will keep renewing until you cancel it where it was bought, and where that is depends on how you subscribed:
- Bought in the app? Billing is handled by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android.
- Bought Partner on the web? That one is billed by us through Stripe. Cancel it from the billing portal in your partner settings, or email hello@joinfiz.com and we will cancel it for you.
- Subscribed to a coach's programme? Those are separate recurring payments to that coach. Cancel each one before you delete your account, or email us and we will stop them.
Download your data if you want to keep it. Go to Settings → Download My Data for a copy of everything we hold on you. Once the account is deleted we cannot produce this for you.
One thing we cannot delete. If you have ever bought or sold something on Fiz, UK tax law requires us to keep the accounting record of that transaction, namely amount, date and parties, for six years. It is kept for accounting only, separated from your profile, and never includes your health data or date of birth. Everything else goes. See Privacy Policy §12.
06/ Read alongside
- Privacy Policy / what we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it.
- Terms of Service / the full agreement, including account termination.
- Community Guidelines / reporting, moderation, and appeals.
